DFGC would be lost without the help of our gifted & selfless volunteers,
giving of their time to ensure that services, ministries and events all run smoothly.
We would love to have you join one of our teams!
There are many ways to volunteer at DFGC, each offering opportunities to connect, to serve, and to share. To get involved fill out the form below, fill out the connect form in our bulletin or contact [email protected]. Once you've contacted us, someone will be in touch with you to get you started on a team!
How else can I serve? If your gifting doesn't fit in with these listed ways, there are still many other opportunities for you to help DFGC.
Are you a musician/do you love to sing? Do you have a knack for organizing & doing admin work? Do you like to write? Does planning events & decorating make you excited? Are you able to drive people to church? Let us know! We'd love to figure out a way for you to use your talents at DFGC. Our children and youth ministries are made possible by volunteers as well! If you would like to hear more about opportunities to help them, contact our Church Office here. |
GreetersThe greeting team is a great opportunity for new volunteers who love to make people feel welcome. It requires no special skills while providing a strong sense of family within the family, a chance to greet those coming into the services, meet others while serving on teams, and a regularly scheduled, easy-to-manage routine.
ReadersWe often read Scripture aloud at each Sunday service. This is a great opportunity for the congregation to listen to God's word. Readers can be grade 4 and up.
Communion ServersLay assistants help with communion, distributing the bread and cup. Communion takes place the first and third Sunday of each month.
Prayer TeamDuring the Sunday service, we sometimes ask individuals to take time to pray on behalf of the congregation to our heavenly Father. Families are welcome to volunteer for this together. We also look for volunteers to be available to pray and minister following the benediction.
Helps MinistryCan you make a pot of soup? Are you interested in hospital visitation or palliative care? Could you give someone a ride to church? We are looking for volunteers who can help provide tangible care to those in need.
