Discipleship: it’s a word we hear frequently within Christian circles. We want to be disciples of Jesus. Raising up disciples within our midst is important. Jesus calls us to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” But do we really know what this means or what it looks like?
The book of Matthew provides a pretty good idea of what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ. From early on in the book until its final lines, Jesus instructs a small group of men how to embody the life of their teacher, ending with instructions to take what they have learned and replicate it - to be disciples who go and create disciples.
Throughout this series, we will explore what discipleship is meant to look like and how we live that out as Christ intends us to. We invite you to be transformed by the redeeming work of Jesus as, together, we look at how we become better disciples living out His will. Join us as we explore discipleship in the book of Matthew.
